Going back to last summer for M & R’s beach wedding Haarlem. I got this mail in which they asked me to be the wedding photographer for their beach wedding at the Hippie Fish Zandvoort. Some words popped out and made me say “yes” immediately. M & R wanted a stressless wedding in a complete relaxed and easy going way among friends.
Because that was really important to them, their family and friends. From all over the globe, majority from Germany, their friends and family joined at the lovely city of Haarlem. Most of them arrived the day before the wedding to have a relaxing cruise along the canal and do some site-seeing. To finish the first day with a warm dinner among family and friends.
When you get asked to be the wedding photographer for an adorable couple as M & R at a dream spot as the beach of Zandvoort – Haarlem, I don’t need a lot of time to think about it.
They really had a perfect idea of how they wanted their beach wedding Haarlem to be and the idea was truly picture perfect. All relaxed and no need to stress out, the Hippie Fish beach bar to have their dinner and party and the endless beach where they were to say “yes”.
When all friends and family were gathered on the beach for the ceremony, M waited for his beautiful bride to arrive. The weather was just perfect, nothing too warm, too cold and all nice and dry.
After the ceremony there was a moment for a toast to the new couple. A wedding photographer always has his/her moment with the couple for the couple session. This was a no-brainer… the beach was just 2 meter in front of us! An amazing couple and a beach… the perfect ingredients for a beach wedding photographer’s story!
Afterwards here were the emotional and (of course also) fun speeches of friends and family, together with another tasteful toast to the couple!
M & R had one more wish for their day… to have their personal vows, totally private with no-one around. I had the honour to witness and capture this emotional moment, so they can be reassured to have this treasured for next generations.
As they promised me from the beginning, it was a wonderful day, with no stress at all, with joy throughout the whole event and so many warm and joyful people around. Nothing more the heart of a wedding photographer could wish for.
