Gran Canaria squared

Gran Canaria, the Canarian Island with probably the most various faces, was the place for this year’s first trip.  The island has so much to offer, spending one or two weeks without worrying what to do is no problem at all!

It has really everything for everyone, from very active opportunities, over historical sites and beautiful villages to the well known laid-back beach-life.

For me, the beach-life isn’t much of a part of my holidays.  I’d rather spend more time on seeing as much as possible, getting to know the local culture, visit the small town cafeterias and eat the real Canarian food.

On a road-trip from west to east and south to north, I took my favourite Hasselblad 500CM along to create a history in squares. I would love to show you the truly divers beauty of the island in all different facets.  Going from the nice, small villages like Teror, Santa Lucia, Arucas to the beauty of nature at Roque Nublo and the wild riders of boards at surfers bay.  It was a warm welcome at the island by it’s mild climate and very open and charming Canarios.  Whenever you have the chance to pass by the island, don’t hesitate!
