Ines and Stan’s romantic wedding at Bastide du Roy in Antibes, was one of the most inspiring days of last season.
It is truly of the most beautiful venues in the South of France. This combined with an utterly romantic and refined couple can only create a dream day.
Stan and Ines met in Montreal in March 2015. At that time, Stan was living and working in Montreal and Ines was living in New York City. In order to renew her American working visa (Ines is from Argentina), she had to travel to Montreal for 5 days on her own. It was her first time in Montreal and as she didn’t didn’t know anyone in the city. She decided to get on this app called “Happn” were girls meet boys, and boys meet girls.
And so it happened. They went on a lunch date and immediately connected. Stan asked her out twice that week, and after accepting, she cancelled both dates at the last minute. They say the third time is a charm third time. On her last night in Montreal, it was Ines who asked Stan out for lunch, and after playing a bit hard to get, Stan decided to meet with her. After that lunch date, the rest is history. From that day on, they fell in love and started dating long distance for a few months and within 6 months Stan moved to New York to be with Ines.
The couple chose France for their wedding because Stan is French, and quite frankly, they both love the south of France. Also, Ines was born and raised in Argentina in a town called Mar del Plata, which is right next to the sea, so also for her it was important to get married somewhere close to the water. And what can be better than a wedding by the Mediterranean sea!
The wedding at Bastide Du Roy was the perfect setup for the elegant and romantic day Ines and Stan dreamed of. The authentic French château had all there was needed for a charming outdoor dinner with a touch of luxury. All the wedding deco matched perfectly with the elegant and classy setting theme Ines and Stan chose for. The silver, white and green dinner theme had both the wanted simplicity and luxurious touch in it. It had that breath-taking styling without going completely over the top.
For her wedding gown, Ines fell in love with a design by the Italian-Argentine designer Ines di Santo. The fact that she carried the same names, only made the decision easier to her! Adding the gorgeous Jimmy Choo‘s to her outfit, made the image complete, a truly stunning bride was waiting for her adorable groom!
The organisation of the wedding was lead flawlessly by Angélique & Manon of Rock My Love, who did a great job in planning and styling. The decoration really breathed the elegance and class the couple dreamed of. It all matched the perfect picture!
It was a true dream for me, as a photographer, to have such an loving an adorable couple in this breath-taking place. It was a pleasure for me to work on this wedding at Bastide du Roy. It will be weddings like these that stay on top of mind for years. The true love, the kindness and emotions really will remain for a long time!
